A former Strictly pro dancer has predicted that show favourite Aljaz Skorjanec and partner La Voix will end up in the bottom two “soon”.
Slovenian dancer Aljaz first joined the glitzy series back in 2013 and has been partnered with several famous faces such as Abbey Clancy, Alison Hammond and Call the Midwife star Helen George. After quitting in 2021, Aljaž made a comeback in 2024.
For the 2025 series, Aljaz is dancing with the hilarious drag queen La Voix – and the pair become firm favourites with viewers so far. However, according to Brendan Cole, La Voix and Aljaz’s time on the show could be coming to an end soon…
Aljaz Skorjanec dealt Strictly blow
Drag Queen La Voix – real name Chris Dennis – is one of many famous faces appearing on the BBC show, starring alongside the likes of Alex Kingston, George Clarke and Ellie Goldstein.
And since their debut on Strictly Come Dancing last month, La Voix has become a hit with fans and often brings the humour and comedy every Saturday night.
However, speaking on behalf of Sky Vegas, former pro Brendan Cole thinks that a bottom two is just around the corner for La Voix and Aljaz.
“La Voix will hang around a bit longer, but they are destined for the bottom two soon. The comedy and fun only get you so far once it gets serious,” the dancer said.
Who else ‘could be in trouble?’
Meanwhile Brendan – who appeared on Strictly between 2004 and 2017 – also noted that Karen Carney “could be in trouble soon”.
He said: “Balvinder [Sopal] and Julian [Caillon] had a decent week after a terrible foxtrot earlier, so she might survive a bit longer.”
Talking about Karen, Brendan continued: Karen and Carlos [Gu] started so well but have really dropped off. That rumba wasn’t good. The judges raved about it, but there was no breathing or softness in the movement. So, they could be in trouble soon.”
La Voix on Strictly
It’s fair to say La Voix has had a dramatic time in the competition so far. Earlier this month, judge Shirley Ballas shocked fans when she marked La Voix and dance partner Aljaz a measly two for their Cha Cha Cha.
Before picking up her paddle, Shirley even told the pair she was unable to offer them any advice, saying: “I wouldn’t be able to judge this at all.” She added: “You never got off to a good start from the beginning. You just had one of those days. But we love you, you can come back strong from this.”
