Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie ‘bracing themselves’ amid ‘worries’ over further Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal

The York sisters allegedly have their concerns

| Updated:

Fresh reports suggest Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are harbouring growing concerns amid renewed scrutiny surrounding their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to claims, the York sisters are increasingly anxious that further damaging details could yet emerge, potentially drawing them back into controversy they are keen to avoid.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lost his royal titles, honours and his home late last year following intense scrutiny linked to his connections with Jeffrey Epstein and the sexual assault allegations made by the late Virginia Giuffre.

Andrew has consistently denied Ms Giuffre’s allegations and has also maintained that he did not have a close friendship with Epstein.

Despite his denials, Andrew is expected to leave Royal Lodge, his home of more than two decades, in the coming weeks. He is reportedly set to move to a more modest property, Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham estate.

As a result, the former prince has undergone significant changes in recent months, both publicly and privately.

Speculation surrounding the York sisters

Although Andrew is said to be living a relatively low-key life and could face even greater isolation once settled at Sandringham, his daughters are reportedly uneasy about the possibility of further revelations.

There has been growing speculation over whether Beatrice and Eugenie have distanced themselves from their father. In recent weeks, rumours circulated suggesting that Princess Eugenie had cut off contact with Andrew altogether.

However, conflicting reports have since emerged. It was recently claimed that Princess Beatrice has been spending time with her father.

Eugenie has also been described as being “there whenever [Andrew] needs her”.

Amid this uncertainty, royal author Andrew Lownie has suggested that while both sisters have remained loyal so far, there are underlying fears.

He claims they “might be worried there are further damaging revelations to come”.

Beatrice and Eugenie’s reported concerns

Speaking to the Mirror, Lownie claimed that only around one percent of material connected to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has been made public so far.

As a result, he said that Beatrice, Eugenie and other members of the royal family are “bracing themselves” due to fears over a possible further scandal.

Representatives for Andrew, Beatrice, Eugenie and Buckingham Palace have been contacted for comment.

A complex dilemma for the York sisters

As speculation continues, experts suggest the sisters are navigating an especially difficult situation.

Crisis PR expert Lauren Beeching told the i newspaper that remaining silent is likely the most effective approach for now.

“Personally, I don’t think the smartest move is for them to publicly announce that they’re distancing themselves from their father,” she said.

“The more effective approach is simply not to be seen with him and not make a spectacle of it.”

Meanwhile, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams also weighed in on the sisters’ predicament.

“Both have taken on new charities. Both of them are happily married, with families, with jobs,” he told GB News. “The Yorks have always been a close-knit family. That isn’t the case any longer. It’s impossible for both princesses.”

As these tensions play out, royal watchers continue to count down the days until Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor leaves Royal Lodge permanently.
