| Updated:

The vast fortune Liam Payne left behind following his tragic death has been revealed – as well as who has been granted the power of administration of his estate.

The One Direction singer tragically died in October 2024 aged just 31, after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

A toxicology report later released by the prosecutor’s office said Liam had traces of “alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants” in his system when he died.

Now, court documents have revealed how much Liam left behind.

Liam Payne’s fortune revealed after death

As MailOnline reports, Liam left behind £28,595,000. After expenses and debts were paid, the figure was reduced to £24,280,000.

According to the court documents filed on May 1, Liam died without leaving a will.

However, his former partner Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shared a son Bear, eith, has been granted power of administration.

As well as Cheryl, top music lawyer Richard Bray, who is a partner in a London-based legal firm, has also been named as administrator.

Who is the power of administration?

It has also been reported that the fortunate will likely be placed in a trust for Liam’s son Bear, under UK rules of intestacy. This is when a person’s estate is usually passed to their nearest blood relative or a lawful spouse.

Because of this, it could mean that Liam’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy might receive nothing.

ED! has contacted Liam’s estate for comment.

Liam’s final words to Kate

Kate was with Liam just days before he tragically fell to his death in Argentina back in October. Last month, she revealed Liam’s final words to her, six months on from his tragic death.

In a podcast appearance from April, Kate, 26, opened up about her final moments with Liam.

Speaking on the On Purpose podcast, Kate said that Liam’s final words to her brought her both “pain and peace”.

Kate explained that they would always engage in long goodbyes, even if they were just leaving each other for the night. She said that this was the case when she left to head back to the US from Argentina.

“I remember sitting there with him. And I was going on and on and on about how much I love him. And he laughed and interrupted me. He was like: ‘Kate you’re gonna miss your flight your car is in the driveway.”

Kate then continued, saying that Liam had added: “You’re acting like this is the last time you’re ever gonna see me again.”

Kae then said: “I just laughed back. But to look back in time and know that that was the last time I was ever going see him again is just so chilling.

“I am so blessed that it was that heartfelt goodbye. Our last goodbye I wouldn’t have wanted it to be any differently. I am so glad we had that beautiful time together, and I wouldn’t change that,” she said.
