Princess Eugenie’s son August’s ‘similarities’ to royal family member spotted by fans

Awwww!

Royal fans once spotted that Princess Eugenie’s son, August, who turns five next week, has a striking resemblance to a royal cousin.

On Monday, February 9, August will mark his birthday.

Eugenie rarely shares images of her sons on social media.

But one past social media post of August had fans making the same comparison.

Royal fans point out August’s resemblance to royal cousin

Back in 2023, Princess Eugenie, now 35, uploaded a video of young August smiling at the camera during a day out at the zoo on Instagram to celebrate his second birthday.

“Happy 2nd Birthday to our boy Augie.. you are our world’s greatest joy. Keep dancing and smiling, my angel. Xx,” she captioned the adorable post.

And royal fans were quick to point out that August looks very much like Prince Harry’s son, Prince Archie.

“Looks like Harry’s son Archie,” one fan said.

“He looks like Archie!!!!” another exclaimed.

Someone else wrote: “He’s absolutely precious and he really does look a lot like HRH Prince Archie.”

Other royal fans believe Prince Harry’s daughter, Princess Lilibet, also shares similarities with August.

“He could be Lilibet’s twin,” one fan gushed. “His cousin Lilibet looks like him!” another said.

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice ‘avoid complications’ for their kids

Unlike royals such as Prince William and Princess Kate, Princess Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, have chosen lives outside of the working monarchy, embracing careers and quieter lifestyles instead.

Beatrice works at tech company Afiniti. Meanwhile, Eugenie works in the art world with the gallery Hauser & Wirth.

Beatrice is mum to Sienna and Athena and step-mum to Wolfie with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Meanwhile, Eugenie is raising August and Ernest with husband, Jack Brooksbank.

Speaking to HELLO, royal author Robert Jobson said that the sisters’ choices have created, calm grounded family lives for their children.

“The princess has shown how a so-called blended family works,” he said.

Beatrice and Eugenie have shielded their children from public scrutiny

Pictures of the princesses’ children are rare, and they’ve managed to shield them from public scrutiny.

Continuing, Jobson said: “The royal sisters have both avoided complications for their children by avoiding royal and aristocratic title. It means less scrutiny and means they can avoid the burden of being truly public figures.”

Both Beatrice and Eugenie continue to support charitable causes. However, they’ve never held official royal roles. Jobson believes that this distance has served them well.
