Strictly Come Dancing pro Karen Hauer was hiding a secret cancer heartache as she danced a rumba with partner Harry Aikines-Aryeetey last night (October 18).
Earlier today, Karen shared a post on Instagram dedicated to one of her beloved dogs, Betty. She shared that boyfriend Simon Davidson had noticed “two small lumps” on the pup’s body. And, after taking her to the vets, it was confirmed that she has cancer.

Karen shared a carousel of pictures of Betty today, and said the vet is now carrying out further tests.
“Last week Simon felt two small lumps on Betty’s belly and under her armpit. We took her to the vet, and the results showed traces of cancer.
Our hearts broke,” she shared.
Karen added: “It’s grade one as far as we know, and our vets have been absolutely incredible. They’ll be doing further tests to make sure they have all the info and can guide us through the next steps to give our Betty the best treatment possible.
“Please check your fur babies for any lumps or bumps. Early detection can make all the difference.”

Last night on Strictly Come Dancing (October 18), Karen and Harry danced a rumba. However, with a score of just 26, they sit third from bottom on the week 4 leaderboard.
