This Morning presenter Jake Quickenden has revealed his hair transplant surgery has impacted his marriage for the better.
The 37-year-old, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2014, has since carved out a successful career on television.
Jake is also a family man with his wife, Sophie Church, whom he married in 2022. The pair share two children — sons Leo, four, and Kit, 10 months. Jake is also a stepson to Sophie’s oldest son, Freddie, 10, whom she had through a previous relationship.
Jake Quickenden has third hair transplant
In September, Jake revealed he had undergone his third hair transplant. In an Instagram video, the former footballer said he wanted to be “brutally honest” with fans about the surgery.
He described the anaesthesia injections as “probably the closest thing that a man can get to childbirth” and “unbearably painful”.
In contrast, Jake explained that the procedure itself doesn’t hurt. “[The injection pain] lasts five minutes and then your head’s numb and then they do your hair transplant. So they take hair from the back, they take that hair out, they make incisions in the front where you’re having it or wherever you’re having it and then they pop those hairs in and it’s as simple as that,” he added.
‘Sophie loves it’
Despite the pain, Jake is happy with the results.
While speaking to the Daily Star at the Pride of Britain Awards, he said: “I’ve had a hair transplant. I like it even better, you know, when you get off a tube and it’s really windy. Whereas tonight I was walking through like I owned it.”
However, he is not the only one who is a fan. Jake also announced that his wife Sophie has an even bigger crush on him following the procedure.
“Sophie loves it, she says she fancies me more, which is always a good thing for the relationship,” he declared.
