Actress and reality star Helen Flanagan has revealed a recent health diagnosis after having an awful allergic reaction.
The mum of three, who recently split from her partner, former footballer Robbie Talbot, shared the news via her Instagram page.
Helen Flanagan ‘never knew’ about allergy
In an Instagram Story upload posted last night (June 4), Helen uploaded a video explaining she had a reaction to eating cherries.
“So I’ve literally just picked up the kids from school, did the food shop today and Delilah was like: ‘Oh Mummy I want some cherries,'” she said, before being interrupted by one of her children.
As she carried on explaining, Helen added: “So yeah, Delilah and I did the food shop and she was like: ‘Oh Mummy, I want some cherries.’ They were just playing in the garden, so I just cut some up and I thought, oh these cherries look nice, so I just had one and, honestly, straight away I was like…”
Helen then began to cough and started to rub her throat. She continued: “This is really itchy here, my throat started itching and, like, my lips have literally, like they feel numb and really, really swollen.”
The former Coronation Street star said she “never knew that I was allergic to cherries” before coughing again.
Helen appeared makeup-free for the video as her lips were visibly swollen.
Helen manifests Strictly stint
In other Helen Flanagan news, the TV personality exclusively told ED! she would love to take part in Strictly this year.
“I absolutely love Strictly Come Dancing. I would love to do that show because I think I’d love all the dressing up. However, I don’t know if I’d be that much of a great dancer, to be honest, but I think I’d be okay. On the show, I know I’d work hard,” she explained.
Helen confessed she was offered Strictly when she was 22 years old. However, she decided to go into the I’m A Celebrity… jungle instead.
