Freddy Brazier claimed his grandmother Jackiey Budden allegedly got him addicted to drugs at age 12.
Back in June, Freddy, who is the son of the late Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, opened up about going to rehab in Marbella to “cut down” on smoking.
However, in a new update, the 20-year-old discussed his journey to getting “hooked” on smoking cannabis.

Freddy Brazier said grandmother Jackie Budden ‘got me hooked’ on drugs
Ahead of launching his own podcast, A Load Of Old Cobblers podcast, Freddie revealed that the first time he took drugs was not with his grandmother Jackiey.
“No, it wasn’t with my Nan [the first time], although my Nan is definitely the person who introduced me to reefer and got me hooked. It’s one of those things, I was 12,” he said in the upcoming first episode.
Freddy Brazier also shared he had been “sectioned”.
He continued: “I’ve been smoking since I was 12, I’ve been to rehab, I’ve been sectioned, I’ve had manic episodes, I’ve been sectioned. There’s been a real journey and it’s been a tough one”.
Freddy also said he spent many years scared that Jackie would take her own life if he didn’t ‘prioritise’ their relationship.
“I feel like if I didn’t prioritise the relationship with my mum’s mum Jackiey, and I didn’t feel like I had to be around for her, I was scared that if I wasn’t, she’d kill herself,” Freddy claimed.
He added he had the fear in his “head for so long to the point where I pushed my dad away”. As a result, he would “stay at my nan’s for months” and “go on mad ones”.
Over the past few months, Jeff and Jackiey have reportedly had an ongoing feud surrounding Freddy. Earlier this year, Freddy and Jeff appeared on Race Across The World together.
The podcast interview is set to launch on Monday (September 1).

‘I don’t need rehab’
While living with his nan, the pair were captured puffing with Jackiey in South London in June. That same month, Freddy told his Instagram followers he planned to visit rehab.
“I’ve been smoking from the age of 12 and it’s time to stop it was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and somewhat okay,” he wrote.
However, days after making the announcement, Freddy revealed he had changed his mind.
He wrote: “You know what I don’t need rehab. I just need a holiday with a good group of boys or a retreat.”
When Freddy’s mum Jade died from cervical cancer in 2009, he was only four years old.
