Disastrous performances from the Faithfuls on Celebrity Traitors

The Faithfuls haven’t been finding it easy on Celebrity Traitors so far. Not only have they not managed to banish a single Traitor, but they’ve also lost 10 of their own, including Tom Daley, Clare Balding and Stephen Fry.

The most recent episode saw the celebs banish Stephen, despite his protestations – that were, of course, true – that he was a Faithful.

What’s more, Wednesday’s episode (October 29) will see one of Lucy Beaumont, Nick Mohammed or Kate Garraway bite the dust.

So far, only one of the Traitors has caught any heat, with that being Jonathan Ross. Alan Carr and Cat Burns have largely kept under the radar. So much so that many think Alan may go all the way and win the show!

Charlotte Chilton reveals where the celebs are going wrong

Speaking exclusively to ED!, series 2 star Charlotte has weighed in on where she thinks the celebs are going wrong.

Mum-of-one Charlotte managed to survive nine episodes on her series before being banished. However, she was a Faithful. Series two was famously won by Harry Clark, who lied his way to £95,000.

When asked why the Faithful haven’t been able to root out the Traitors so far, she said: “The biggest issue is, one, they know each other, so they’ve got preconceived ideas. When you don’t have that, you have to just take everything at face value, and even then, we get it wrong.”

Charlotte Chilton on the celebs ‘biggest issue’ in catching Traitors

Continuing, the star said: “But also, they are far too polite, and this is not a dig to celebrities, but like Alan said: ‘Well, everyone’s fake.’ But they’re not. Celebrities are not fake, but they are used to putting on a performance and having to work with people [who] perhaps they’re not a big fan of.

“And so, when you’re thrust on couches and on sofas and stuff [on talk shows], and you have to sit and be polite and make friends with people you don’t know, I think there’s an element where they’re showing a PG version of themselves – like they’re on the sofa talking,” she then continued.

“As opposed to, you’re on a game show, this is dog-eat-dog. You’ve got to leave your morals at the door and just come in and be, you know, human. So I think that’s the biggest issue,” she concluded.

So will the Faithful finally get a Traitor this week, with just a few episodes to go until the finale? We’ll find out on Wednesday!
