Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman have announced they will leave Strictly this year – but does the future hold for them?
Earlier today (October 23), the iconic presenting duo revealed they will no longer host the hit BBC show following this current series.
The pair explained to fans that it “feels the right time” to wave goodbye. They also admitted they have “loved working” together over the years.

What does the future hold for Claudia Winkleman after Strictly?
The announcement doesn’t mean Tess and Claudia will be stepping away from all their presenting duties. At the moment, Claudia hosts another BBC favourite, The Traitors, which is currently airing its first-ever celebrity series.
According to exclusive odds from SportsCasting, bookies predict that Claudia will most likely continue presenting The Traitors (1/5). She is also expected to continue presenting The Piano (4/6) on Channel 4.
However, the chances of the TV icon starting her own podcast (3/1) and a joint TV venture with Tess are also a possibility (7/2). Meanwhile, the likelihood of Claudia going overseas to present Dancing With The Stars (14/1) or retiring from broadcasting is slim (20/1).
SportsCasting’s Shane Orton told ED!: “Claudia Winkleman has built a reputation for effortlessly blending sharp wit with warmth, and it’s no surprise she’s spoilt for choice when it comes to her next move. Continuing with The Traitors looks like a safe bet, but there’s growing talk of a solo project on the horizon — perhaps a podcast or a new TV format that plays to her dry humour and distinctive presenting style.”

Tess Daly is ‘poised to embrace something fresh’
On the other hand, Tess is highly tipped to launch her own lifestyle brand (2/1). She is also predicted to present a Blind Date reboot (6/1).
There is also a chance she may join her husband, Vernon Kay, as a presenter on The One Show (8/1). She could even enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle (9/1).
However, like Claudia, her chances of retiring seem very unlikely (16/1).
Shane insisted Tess is “poised to embrace something fresh” following Strictly.
He continued: “The odds suggest a lifestyle venture is most likely — tapping into her enduring appeal and natural connection with audiences. A joint TV project with Claudia isn’t out of the question either, given their on-screen chemistry. Whether she moves into fashion, wellness, or even a high-profile presenting role on another major show, Tess’s next move will mark a confident new phase in a career that continues to evolve gracefully.”
