Emmerdale viewers distraught as Emma Barton’s second victim revealed

She's already killed her husband, James

Emmerdale fans were left well and truly shocked after tonight’s episode revealed killer Emma Barton had shot her own son, Finn, in dramatic scenes.

Emma had locked Finn in the church vestry after admitting to him that she was the one responsible for his dad, James, death after pushing him from a bridge.

Finn, shocked that his mum had been lying to him all this time, told her that she had to tell Ross and Pete what had happened – or he would.

Emma then fled, fearing she was about to lose everything.

In tonight’s episode, a stunned Diane let Finn out of the church and he desperately began to hunt for his mum, knowing how unhinged she has become lately.

He called her mobile, leaving her messages. In one, he said: “Mum, I know you’re ignoring my calls but I meant what I said, we can do this together.

“Please just come home, you’re not on your own.”

But, unknown to Finn, Emma was at Butler’s Farm with Auntie Moira, helping her give birth to Pete’s baby. By this time, Moira had lost a lot of blood and had lost consciousness.

Emma was just about to call an ambulance, when a newly reunited Adam and Victoria arrived on the scene.
Adam saw his mum looking decidedly lifeless, Emma covered in blood and immediately jumped to the wrong conclusion.
Picking up a gun, her set chase after her – into the woods, leaving a very confused Victoria to soothe the unexplained baby, and help Moira.
In the woods, Adam caught up with Emma and told her she’s not going to get away with it. He said: “You’re done Emma,” he told her. “Don’t even try to talk your way out of this one.”
He then told her that she was coming back with him, and had to tell the police everything.
But wiley Emma stunned him with the news that the baby is his brother, before grabbing the gun and disappearing off into the woods.
Later, a jumpy Emma is startled by something and accidentally fires a shot off into the forest, but it’s not clear if she hit anything – or anyone.
Not until the very last scene where a bleeding Finn, lay in the woods trying to get enough breath to call for help, before falling to the ground.
Has Emma killed her own son as well as her husband? Viewers were not amused, to say the least!
