Emma had locked Finn in the church vestry after admitting to him that she was the one responsible for his dad, James, death after pushing him from a bridge.

Finn, shocked that his mum had been lying to him all this time, told her that she had to tell Ross and Pete what had happened – or he would.
Emma then fled, fearing she was about to lose everything.
In tonight’s episode, a stunned Diane let Finn out of the church and he desperately began to hunt for his mum, knowing how unhinged she has become lately.
He called her mobile, leaving her messages. In one, he said: “Mum, I know you’re ignoring my calls but I meant what I said, we can do this together.
“Please just come home, you’re not on your own.”
But, unknown to Finn, Emma was at Butler’s Farm with Auntie Moira, helping her give birth to Pete’s baby. By this time, Moira had lost a lot of blood and had lost consciousness.
