Asha’s found in a bad way in Coronation Street

Asha has been silently struggling more than she’s let her family know recently after Mason Radcliffe’s and Craig’s deaths, and Naomi’s abuse.

When Brody walked into the shop, she grabbed a bottle of vodka and asked him to takeover from her while she headed out. She told Brody that she loved her dad before leaving without any explanation.

Later on, Theo Silverton found Asha unconscious on a bench outside next to an empty bottle of alcohol.

Paramedics soon confirmed that Asha had also been in possession of some empty pill bottles too, rushing her to hospital.

Dev and Bernie find out about Asha Alahan suicide attempt

Dev and Bernie visited Asha at the hospital in Coronation Street as Dev accused Brody of supplying Asha with drugs.

Brody denied doing so before heading home. Dev spoke to Asha and put the incident down to a ‘drunken mistake.’ But, he was left devastated when Asha told him that she had intended to end her own life.

A mental health specialist then spoke to Asha as she admitted that she just wanted her pain to ‘stop.’

The specialist shared her concerns about Asha working as a paramedic. She could possibly be triggered by death and loss on shift.

After a heartfelt moment with his daughter, Dev returned home and told Bernie that the drugs might’ve had a lasting effect on Asha’s body. But, will Asha be okay? Can she get the support she needs?
