Coronation Street fans have been wondering how long Becky Swain will actually be sticking around for. And it appears most viewers don’t think she will actually be on the cobbles for that long.
Ever since Lisa and Betsy arrived in Weatherfield, we have fully believed that Becky was dead – and so did they. But this month she turned up very much alive.
While her appearance has left Coronation Street fans concerned for the future of Swarla, some fans think she will be out of the show soon enough. And have even ‘worked out’ exactly when.
Becky Swain is alive
For four years Lisa and Betsy thought Becky had died on duty. They believed she had died during a police chase involving the Radcliffe brothers. And there was even a funeral for her.
However, in a shocking twist Becky turned up in Weatherfield. She explained she was working undercover and had to flee to Alicante to protect Lisa and Betsy from a criminal gang leader called Curtis.
She then took the identity of a woman named Tia Wardley and faked her own death.
Obviously the news hit Lisa and Betsy hard, with Lisa trying to get her to stay away from their family. But Becky has made it clear she has no intentions of leaving.
Now, Coronation Street fans predict a shock twist that will see Becky dead by the end of the year.
Coronation Streets predict shock death soon
Becky supposedly died on December 11. Which means the anniversary of her so-called death is approaching. And this is when fans think we will actually say goodbye to Becky.
Taking to a Reddit thread, Coronation Street fans debated whether or not Becky will be sticking around. And most of them think she is here to die.
One said: “I think by December Becky might die for real. Or she may leave the country again, with Lisa and Betsy saying their last goodbye to her this time.”
Another added: “I think that she will die on December 11. The date she ‘died’ the first time. I can’t decide if she will be killed, or is actually sick. Why else was she at the hospital when Roy was? Even if she goes to jail, I don’t think that will give Lisa and Betsy full closure. I think this storyline is about getting answers and moving on.”
A third agreed: “Yeah I am leaning towards her dying for real in December. Wish Lisa would just go to Internal Affairs or something about Costello and Becky instead of believing everything they tell her.”
“I think she will die saving Betsy from something” another commented.
Whether or not Becky is dying remains to be seen. But there’s definitely plenty of drama to come.
