New pressure is mounting against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following the release of new Epstein files.
Andrew, 65, has faced scrutiny over his ties to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for years. Last October, Andrew had his royal titles and honours removed, as well as being told to leave his Royal Lodge home, in the wake of renewed scrutiny.
At the time, his association with Epstein was making headlines continuously. Also in October, his accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir detailed her alleged encounters with the royal.
Ms Giuffre alleged she was made to sleep with Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein. Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations.
Now, Andrew is facing fresh accusations about his links to Epstein. The Met Police has also been urged to take action.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor mentioned in latest batch of Epstein files
On Friday, three million files relating to Jeffrey Epstein and his crimes were released by the US Department of Justice.
Within these files, images appearing to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified woman lying on the ground have been released.
In two of the images, he is seen touching the person, who is fully clothed, on her stomach. Another image shows him staring at the camera.
No context has been supplied for the images. It’s also unclear when and where they were taken.
Representatives for Andrew were contacted for comment.
He has always vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
New Andrew allegations emerge
Following the release of the files, a second woman has come forward alleging she was sent to the UK by Epstein for a sexual encounter with Andrew.
Speaking to the BBC, the woman’s lawyer, Brad Edwards from the US firm Edwards Henderson, said that after she spent the night with the former prince, the woman claims she was given a tour of Buckingham Palace and had tea.
Andrew should volunteer to speak to Congress.
The lawyer told the publication: “We’re talking about at least one woman who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein over to Prince Andrew. And she even had, after a night with Prince Andrew, a tour of Buckingham Palace.”
The sexual encounter allegedly happened at Andrew’s Windsor residence, Royal Lodge, in 2010.
According to the BBC, the woman, who is not British, was in her 20s at the time.
Representatives for Andrew and Buckingham Palace have been contacted for comment on these claims.
Met Police urged to reopen investigation
Now, following the new Epstein files and fresh allegations against Andrew, the Met Police has been urged to reopen its investigation into Queen Elizabeth II’s second son.
Gloria Allred, a lawyer who has represented 27 of Epstein’s victims, told the Mail on Sunday: “The Metropolitan Police should reopen their investigation of Andrew.

“In addition, Andrew should volunteer to speak to Congress, even though he has denied that he has committed any crime.
“He should do this to help the survivors learn what he observed and what was going on at the crime scene. The crime scene was every residence of Jeffrey Epstein, and Andrew stayed with Epstein at a number of his homes.”
