Kerry Katona has revealed that she has been diagnosed with a painful health condition after being rushed to the hospital.
The star, 45, admitted that she was “screaming in pain” as she was taken to the hospital recently.

The mum-of-five opened up about her trip to the hospital in her latest New! magazine column.
“I was taken into hospital in an ambulance at the end of last week. I was in so much pain I was screaming so the paramedics had to give me morphine there and then,” she revealed.
“I’ve been diagnosed with something called colitis, which is something to do with my bowel. I won’t lie, it’s been [bleep]! Do excuse the pun,” she then explained.

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease which causes inflammation and open sores in the innermost lining of the large intestine and the rectum.
The star then continued, explaining that because the hospital was so busy, she had to sleep on a bed in the corridor.
“I was in a bed in the hallway for a day and night before I was given a room because of how full the hospital was – I was quite shocked to hear all the hospitals are like that at the minute,” she said.
Kerry’s health update
Kerry shared news of her hospital trip with her fans on Instagram last week.
Taking to her Instagram story on Friday (January 30), Kerry admitted she’d spent the day “crying” and justed to “go home”.
She also revealed that after sleeping in the corridor, she’d been moved into her own room.
“Hi, everyone. Thank you for all your lovely messages. I am no longer in the corridor. I look rough and tired. But that is because I have been crying all day. I have had no sleep and can’t stop crying,” she said.
“I just want to go home. But I can’t. I want to sleep. And I can’t sleep. My mind is racing. I did go to sleep on Paolo’s chest yesterday, when he got to the hospital to see me. I was out like a light,” she then continued.
“But the hospital is really, really overpacked. It’s so sad that we are leaving all of the hospitals like this. It was so sad seeing old ladies and old men on the beds in the corridors – I was one of them.”
In a previous video, she’d explained that her colitis was “awful”.
