Judy Finnigan has reportedly lost two stone by overhauling her diet after she nearly died from a ruptured stomach ulcer in 2018.
The This Morning legend, who turned 77 on May 16, first showed off her weight loss on a recent day out with husband Richard Madeley, 69.
Then, on her birthday – in a now-deleted post – Chloe shared more pictures of her mum, and the presenting legend looked sensational.

‘Life-saving blood transfusions’
Judy previously shared that she needed two blood transfusions after the ibuprofen she took for her knee pain led to a stomach ulcer that then ruptured.
“Totally out of the blue, never experienced anything like it before, and hope to god I never will again,” she said. “I survived thanks to [the] exceptionally swift-arriving and skilled ambulance crew and superb emergency treatment at London’s Royal Free Hospital. And, two major life-saving blood transfusions.”
Judy made some lifestyle changes
Following the health emergency, Judy’s 37-year-old daughter Chloe, a personal trainer, stepped in and put her mum on a diet and exercise programme. It involved reduced daily calorie intake, smaller portions, and more regular exercise.
Chloe said on Loose Women previously: “I was as surprised as anyone else when I opened the fridge on coming home on the weekend and saw superfood salads and soups. I thought, what the hell is going on!
“I have to say her diet is now amazing. Her palate has changed. She has got into sushi, raw fish and whole grain salad. She has dropped the pounds naturally.”
A source also told Bella magazine this week: “Judy has had a few underlying medical conditions over the years, and losing weight has had a significant impact on her general health.”

77th birthday celebrations
Judy, meanwhile, was seen having a great time as she celebrated her birthday with family two weeks ago. Chloe shared a series of photos on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into Judy’s life. While Richard is still a regular face on TV as a Good Morning Britain relief presenter, his wife has retreated more from the public eye in recent years.
In now-deleted snaps, Judy and her family celebrated with a cake, flowers and balloons in the garden while the presenter sported a floral Boden dress. “Rosé flowing with your chosen family. Happy birthday to my favourite woman in the world,” Chloe captioned the post.
As for Richard, he prompted a wave of complaints last month after he enjoyed a helping of roasted and minced crickets live on GMB. In a segment looking at insect-based foods, he tucked in and then said: “The flavour is quite light, they’re sort of hollow. I’d say it tastes a little bit like a very mildly flavoured nut.
“There’s no back taste. Nothing that makes you want to heave. In fact, I’d like a bit of salt on that.”
ED! has contacted Judy’s reps for comment.
