Helen Flanagan has sparked speculation that she aimed a subtle swipe at ex Scott Sinclair while sharing the realities of parenting their three children.
The Instagram update came after Helen and the children left their family property. The move followed reported disagreement over Scott’s decision to sell the home, which he finances.
Helen and footballer Scott share Matilda, Delilah and Charlie. The former couple ended their 13-year relationship in July 2022.
Helen Flanagan shares candid parenting update
Helen’s Instagram Story showed Charlie in the middle of a tantrum as she tried to soothe him and help him settle down.
Writing alongside the footage, Helen told followers: “Charlie’s having a tantrum for about an hour about his bike.
“My house is upside down like you wouldn’t believe. I’m tired.
“I honestly don’t know what I’d do without my own mum helping me.”
She added a light-hearted comment about the end of the school holidays, writing: “Ready for back to school as much as I love them.”
The Sun suggested that Helen’s praise for her mother could double as a pointed remark about Scott. However, Helen did not name her ex in the update or directly criticise his role as a parent.
Helen’s emotional goodbye to the family home
Helen had previously shared another emotional Instagram video as she prepared to leave the family’s home. She appeared in the footage with her children while the song That’s How Strong My Love Is played.
In her accompanying message, she wrote: “Saying goodbye to our beautiful home (Charlie obviously playing up).
“It’s always been just us, just us 4. I feel like I really found myself in this house and it’s been special.”
Helen went on to tell her children that her relationships with all three of them would always remain her priority. She finished the post: “There is nothing I wouldn’t do for you 3 x Mummy’s always got it, always x.”
Why did Helen Flanagan leave the house she shared with Scott Sinclair?
According to The Sun, Scott pays for the property and its bills. The publication reported that he decided the six-bedroom house was too large for Helen and the children and put it up for sale.
A friend of Helen’s told the newspaper: “But Helen doesn’t want to move and is digging her heels in. She loves the place, the kids are settled at the local school and her mum and dad live around the corner.”
The publication claimed that the move did not go smoothly and ended in a row. Helen has since continued to give followers glimpses of family life as she and the children adjust to their changed circumstances.
