Harry Styles recently revealed his brand-new sex toy range. And it seems to have gone down a treat, despite initial backlash.
It’s been a while since fans had any new music from Harry Styles. But he’s been keeping them amused in other ways as he builds an empire away from music. And his latest rather risqué move is raking in the big bucks.
Over the years, the former One Direction singer has, of course, released his fair share of merchandise. He even started his own brand, Pleasing. And the newest item on Pleasing’s list? Sex toys and lube…

Harry Styles’ sex toys go down a storm
At the end of July, Harry revealed his ‘Pleasing Yourself’ sex toys range. Taking to the official Pleasing Instagram page, fans were directed to its new website.
They were met with a warning that the page was only for “individuals 18 years of age and older”. Then not long after it was confirmed that the new products were in fact vibrators.
The first two products launched were the Pleasing Yourself Pleasing Lube, a premium, FDS-approved silicone lubricant. And also The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator, which was developed with sex educator and author Zoe Ligon.
“For Pleasing Yourself, this is not about provocation, trend-chasing, or prescription. It’s an invitation into a broader, more open conversation about sex as a space of connection, expression and self-awareness for all,” the website read.
Once the products went up for sale, they very quickly sold out. But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t some backlash.

Initial backlash from fans
Some fans were a bit shocked that Harry had decided to go down that avenue.
Taking to social media, one user wrote: “I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s a bit strange that a grown man is releasing sex toys when his fan base consists of young women?”
“This was a surprise. And I’m not too sure how to feel about it. He has a lot of young fans,” another wrote on a Reddit thread.
Another compared the reaction to the backlash Sabrina Carpenter had been receiving for simulating sex positions on stage at her concerts.
They wrote: “Harry Styles can sell sex toys without that much backlash but Sabrina can’t do silly poses on stage without people attacking her?” A fan responded: “Misogyny at its finest.”
However, quite a lot of people were supporting the release, believing it helped normalise the conversation surrounding sex.
One fan wrote: “I love this. It’s rarely done with celebrities and it’s kind of on brand with his music. It’s like a middle finger to all those parents that want everything artists do to be appropriate for 13 year olds. And the whole website has over 18 warnings.”
“I love this too! It’s helping to break the stigma around self pleasure and with a name like Harry endorsing it hopefully there’s a lot more open conversations around this topic. I’m in!” another penned.

Harry making £12 million from business venture
Despite the backlash, the products sold out and keep being restocked. And it’s been reported that Harry is earning a cool £12 million a year through the brand.
According to figures from Companies House, obtained by The Daily Mail, Harry earned around £2 million from his music discography over the same period. And another £4.6 million from endorsements with brands such as Gucci and Apple.
It seems earnings from Pleasing filters into his holding firm Erskine Records Limited. And the most recent accounts that cover the 2023-2024 year show the brand made £12.2 million. Of that, Harry is believed to have earned £857,998 in royalties. And an extra £1.5 million in recording income.
Only £229,633 of that came from his UK following – with the rest coming from his fans oversees.
