Gemma Atkinson has been supported by fans after she detailed her son Thiago’s “scary” hospital dash.
The TV star, 40, is a proud mama to two-year-old Thiago and daughter Mia, six. Gemma shares the children with Strictly fiancé Gorka Marquez, 34.
However, at the weekend, Thiago was rushed to the hospital after a “scary” incident.
Gemma Atkinson reveals son’s hospital dash
On Wednesday (July 9) Gemma – who recently welcomed a new dog into the family home – took to her Instagram and shared a video of herself working out in her home gym.
In the caption, Gemma shared that Thiago had to go to A&E on Saturday, the day before Mia and Thiago’s christening. At the hospital, the tot had treatment into the early hours.
He’s absolutely fine! But it was a scary few hours.
Despite this, the family still managed to attend the service. Gemma said: “We had such a busy weekend with a big build up and lots of organising
“A family birthday tea for Mia on Friday, her party for her school friends Saturday, both Mia and Thiago’s christening on Sunday and on top of that a trip to A&E with Thiago Saturday night.”
Gemma ‘exhausted’
Recalling the trip to A&E, Gemma went on: “We were there until 1am Sunday morning and still somehow rocked up to church at 9.30am. We were exhausted but we had the best day.”
Mum-of-two Gemma didn’t share the reason for her son’s trip to hospital but reassured her followers that he was getting better.
She said: “He’s absolutely fine! But it was a scary few hours and I wanted to say a massive thank you to Bolton hospital children’s A&E department, and also the lovely paramedics who took us up there. God bless our NHS!”

Gemma’s fans soon rushed to the comments section to share their support.
One person said: “So glad to hear Thiago is okay. What a worry for you all. But hope all is well now.”
