Emily Andre has revealed the reason she will never have another baby as she breaks her silence on “awful” health condition.
Back in 2024, Emily Andre welcomed baby Arabella with husband Peter Andre. Arabella is now one, and is little sister to Emily and Peter’s other children – Amelia, 11, and Theo, eight. Peter also has two kids, Junior, 19, and Princess, 18, with ex-wife Katie Price.
But it seems five children is enough, as Emily revealed she went through a horrible birthing experience with Arabella that forced her to get emergency surgery.

Why Peter and Emily Andre won’t have more kids
Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast hosted by Giovanna Fletcher, Emily revealed that it’s “cemented” she and Peter won’t have any further kids. Emily revealed five was always the end. And joked they wouldn’t have enough room in the house for any more.
But the main reason behind the decision is the traumatic birthing story of Arabella.
I knew things weren’t right after she was born because I had a big, huge lump in my tummy sticking out.
Emily said: “I had weird complications all the way through. She was breech. I have had two breech babies. She nearly made it to 38 weeks. I haven’t really spoken about her birth and what happened afterwards because it was so hard and awful. It was tough. I was really unwell after she was born.”
Following the traumatic birth, Emily had to be rushed back in for “emergency surgery” when Arabella was one week old.
It turns out she had developed a very rare hernia that was really large.

Emily was rushed for emergency surgery
She explained: “All the consultants I have seen said: ‘We have never seen this in our whole career.’ Basically part of my bowels were kind of in the wrong place. And the type of hernia that it was can strangulate quite easily and ends up being a big emergency.
“I knew things weren’t right after she was born because I had a big, huge lump in my tummy sticking out.”
Emily revealed the surgeon sent her for a scan and found that her “bowels had come out basically”.
But it wasn’t the fear of the surgery that affected Emily. Instead it was not being with her newborn baby. And then recovering from it was “really really slow”, leaving her in “quite bad pain”.
After just over a year, Emily confirmed she is finally “pretty much” back to normal health now.
While she may be feeling better, it seems she is no closer to getting answers on what caused the hernia.
Emily admitted: “They still don’t know. There was some kind of defect in the muscle in my tummy quite high up. Whether it was caused from the previous C-section or whether it happened in the pregnancy, they don’t know.”
