The celebrity weight-loss craze surrounding Mounjaro and similar appetite-suppressing jabs is showing no signs of slowing down.
Originally designed to help people manage type 2 diabetes, drugs such as Mounjaro and other semaglutide or tirzepatide-based injections have exploded in popularity for their weight-loss effects.
Often dubbed “fat jabs” or “GLP-1 medications”, these weekly injections suppress appetite by mimicking the gut hormone GLP-1, which helps control blood sugar and slows digestion, keeping users feeling full for longer.
As these jabs go mainstream, a long list of famous names have admitted to giving them a go. While many have praised the results, others have warned of serious side effects. Here’s a look at some of the biggest names who’ve tried the injections.

Gemma Collins lost two stone on Mounjaro
Reality star Gemma Collins revealed she started using Mounjaro earlier this year and has dropped around two stone.
Speaking about the physical changes, Gemma admitted she’s concerned about looking “older” due to the sudden weight loss.
“I don’t know what’s happened to me. But it has been a year since I’ve had any little tweakments,” she told fans on Instagram, alongside a photo pointing out her crow’s feet. “I sure haven’t got [weight-loss jab] face yet, but it would be the dream right now.
“I’ve always had a fuller face, as you know. But this just isn’t right. I am 44, but this is taking it to levels that I never, ever imagined it’d get to.”

Jeremy Clarkson tried Mounjaro after a health scare
TV presenter and Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson, 65, called Mounjaro a “game-changer” after trying several options to manage his health.
Following a serious heart scare that resulted in urgent surgery, Jeremy turned to the jabs when traditional dieting didn’t cut it.
He first tried a different weight-loss jab, but said it made him feel so ill he actually gained weight. It wasn’t until he switched to Mounjaro that he saw results.
“I lost about a stone and a half, maybe a little more, and then it’s just levelled out now,” he told The Sun, before adding: “I just drink too much, that’s the essence of it.”
In classic Clarkson fashion, he joked: “Lisa’s given up trying to make me look presentable. I’m 65, it’s not like I’m David Gandy.”

Amy Tapper has lost seven stone
Gogglebox favourite Amy Tapper has stunned fans with her dramatic transformation, revealing she’s lost a whopping seven stone in a year.
Amy began taking Mounjaro after consulting her doctor in mid-2024. She started at a low dose and eventually worked up to 15mg weekly.
Alongside working with a personal trainer, Amy credits the jab for giving her the boost she needed.
“It’s changed my life,” she told The Sun. “I get annoyed though that some people call it the lazy way out.
“I want people to know that this has been my only option to get this far,” she continued.

Lottie Moss had a bad experience
Model and podcast host Lottie Moss, 26, had a far more frightening experience with weight-loss injections.
Speaking on her Dream On podcast, she revealed she sourced weight-loss injections “below board” and took doses meant for people twice her size.
“It was the worst decision I ever made,” she confessed. “I felt so sick, I couldn’t keep any food or water down. I had to go to the hospital.”
Lottie later suffered a seizure caused by dehydration and said her eyes were “concaving in” when she was rushed to A&E.
Her warning to fans was simple: “If you’re thinking about doing it, don’t. It’s so not worth it.”

Sharon Osbourne shed too much weight
Sharon Osbourne went public in 2023 about using one of the weight-loss jabs to drop 42 pounds, but said she now regrets how thin she became.
“I didn’t actually want to go this thin, it just happened,” she told Piers Morgan.
Sharon later admitted on Good Morning Britain that she now needs to put weight back on, saying, “I fear for teenagers. It’s so easy to take it and think, I can eat what I want.”

Stephen Fry couldn’t handle the side effects
Stephen Fry, another early adopter of the injections, had to stop after experiencing extreme side effects.
“I was throwing up four, five times a day,” he admitted. “I thought, I can’t do this.”
He explained that while the drug curbed his appetite and cravings, it simply wasn’t worth the toll on his body.

Boris Johnson lost weight quickly
Even Boris Johnson gave the jabs a go after seeing dramatic results in a colleague.
“I must have been losing four or five pounds a week,” he wrote in his Daily Mail column. But the side effects soon made him reconsider.
Eventually, he ditched the meds and returned to exercise and willpower.

Boy George uses Mounjaro to maintain his weight
Pop icon Boy George recently revealed he’s joined the GLP-1 revolution, using Mounjaro and other weight-loss drugs to help manage his long-standing struggles with weight and body image.
The singer lost almost 100 pounds and later underwent a tummy tuck. He revealed he has been on weight-loss drugs since 2022 in an effort to maintain his huge weight loss.
“I love food, and I can’t control my appetite,” he wrote in his memoir. “But I think I’ve finally got it under control.”
He joked: “Trust me, anyone who was fat last year and is now skinny is on the wonder drug.”
