Celebrity Traitors stars Celia Imrie and Nick Mohammed team up for ‘scandalous’ new legal drama

These two fan-favourites will be back on-screen in a juicy new Sky series

Celebrity Traitors stars Celia Imrie and Nick Mohammed have been entertaining the nation in their current roles as Faithfuls on BBC One – but they’ll soon reunite in HBO drama War.

The on-screen pair are confirmed to star in an exciting new courtroom drama.

The actors will appear in Sky and HBO series War, penned by Hijack and Lupin writer George Kay. And it already boasts an all-star cast. Here’s what we know so far about this “scandalous” upcoming drama.

What is HBO drama War about?

War is set in London and follows two of the Capital’s most prestigious law firms: Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne. The two firms are long-standing rivals and going head-to-head in the divorce case of the century.

“Each side is certain they’ll win,” teases the official show synopsis. “But as the case spirals and loyalties fracture, reputations are on the line, and everyone’s playing to win.”

War has already been green-lit for a two-season run. Each season will evidently centre on a different legal case, with the first season centred on the “scandalous” divorce of tech titan Morgan Henderson and his estranged wife, international film star Carla Duval.

Viewers can expect to see “shockwaves through boardrooms, bedrooms, and courtrooms alike”.

Who is in the cast?

Dominic West will portray tech titan Morgan. He is best known for his roles in The Wire, The Affair and The Crown (where he played an older Prince Charles). West was most recently on screens in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale reprising his role as Guy Dexter.

Going into battle as his glamorous, soon-to-be ex-wife Carla is actress Sienna Miller. Miller most recently starred in Kevin Costner’s Western movie Horizon: An American Saga and headed up the Netflix series Anatomy of a Scandal. She’s also appeared alongside Bradley Cooper in films American Sniper and Burnt and starred in British movies Layer Cake, Factory Girl and the 2004 remake of Alfie.

Newly announced additions Celia Imrie (The Thursday Murder Club, Bridget Jones’ Diary) and Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso, Slow Horses season 5) have joined as series regulars. Celia will play Budgie, while Nick will portray Michael Stefanou. It marks an on-screen reunion for the pair who are currently starring in The Celebrity Traitors.

Supporting cast members include The Great’s Phoebe Fox who will play Serena Byrne and Playing Nice star James McArdle as Nicholas Taylor. Markedly, Serena and Nick are romantically involved and work together as partners at Taylor & Byrne.

Rival law firm Cathcarts is headed up by Beatrice ‘Queen Bea’ Ubosi played by Screw and W1A star Nina Sosanya. In addition to St John Smallwood (portrayed by Pip Torrens of The Crown fame). Shadow and Bone actor Archie Renaux will also appear as ambitious young lawyer Jonathan ‘Johnny’ Warren.

Other cast additions include Big Boys’ Camille Coduri, Tilda Swinton’s daughter Honor Swinton Byrne and actor and comedian Miles Jepp. No details have been shared of their roles or characters to date.

When is the start date of War on HBO? How can I watch?

There is currently no release date for War. However, we know that episodes will drop in the UK on Sky or streaming service NOW.

Production is currently underway on War with Dominic West and Sienna Miller spotted filming at the BFI Southbank earlier this month. The two were elegantly dressed as the warring husband and wife, seen arriving at a film premiere for fictitious movie The Milliner, which stars Miller’s Carla Duval.

Markedly, with filming underway, we might expect to see the first season of War on screens in late 2026.
