Strictly fans have been left furious over 2025 star George Clarke’s song choice for this weekend.

George Clarke’s next dance on Strictly

George will be back on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor this weekend for the show’s epic Halloween-themed live show. Ahead of the episode, Strictly has released the songs and dances that the remaining contestants will be performing.

Ellie Goldstein and Vito Coppola are dancing a Tango to Abracadabra by Lady Gaga, while Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin will be doing a Viennese Waltz to I See Red by Everybody Loves An Outlaw.

As for George and Alexis, they will be performing a Cha Cha to Apple by Charli XCX. However, viewers have been left fuming over George’s song as they called out bosses for making him dance to ‘another TikTok song’.

‘They’re setting George up’

“Can we stop giving George TikTok songs???? Setting him up to fail yet again it’s getting annoying now… four weeks in a row,” fumed one person.

Someone else added: “Feels like they’re setting George up with the song choices. Like he said: ‘Internet man does the trendy internet songs.'”

A third chimed in: “Just makes me sad for him tbh.” Echoing their thoughts, another declared: “Is strictly setting George up to fail? I love Charli XCX but a cha cha to Apple is such an awful choice?”

Last week George performed a Jive to Harry Styles’ song As It Was. He has previously danced to Soda Pop’ from Netflix’s mega hit K-Pop Demon Hunters and Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

George’s performance last week

George’s performance last week didn’t go down too well with the judges. Craig Revel Horwood said that the jive looked a “bit flat-footed” and “stompy”. He also said that the circle sashays had gone “horribly wrong”.

Motsi Mabuse advised George to work on his “consistency”, whilst Shirley pointed out a few “mistakes” in the routine.

Anton Du Beke, meanwhile, was more complimentary, branding it a “super” performance.

Craig gave the routine a six – and not for the first time – Motsi a seven, Shirley a six, and Anton an eight, meaning they scored 27 points. However, by the time the end credits rolled, George and Alexis were bottom of the leaderboard.
