Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Goldstein admitted she was “emotional” last week while dancing her beautiful waltz alongside partner Vito Coppola.
The Strictly star was on It Takes Two tonight (October 7), with the pair speaking to host Janette Manrara about last weekend’s show.
However, as well as admitting that she loved the dance, Ellie told Janette that she did get “a bit emotional” while waltzing around the BBC ballroom with Vito.

Last Saturday, Ellie and Vito danced a beautiful waltz to Ellie Goulding’s Your Song. Asked how it felt to perform the routine, Ellie told Janette: “During the dance, I got a bit emotional, on the inside, not on the outside. But it was all worth it for that dance because great comments, great scores, I loved the dance.”
Vita too said that he struggled with his emotions on the night. He added: “I was really trying not to get emotional during the dance. The moment Ellie came down from the steps… because it’s our journey, we want a little challenge, Ellie was afraid of getting down from the stairs on her own. So I said: ‘Okay Ellie, we are going to set this challenge, and you are going to come down the stairs on your own,’ and I was so so proud. The moment she was spinning around, I was like she’s going to fly like a butterfly.”
‘I hate it when Craig gives me bad comments’
It Takes Two host Janette then referenced the cardboard cutouts of the judges that Ellie has in rehearsals with her all week, and asked which judge is the most intimidating.
“To be honest, it’s Craig [Revel Horwood],” she said. Ellie explained further: “Because he gives all the critique about your feet and your arms, but at the end, it’s all good feedback, other than the harsh comments,” she quipped.
Still speaking about Craig, Ellie added: “Craig is a good judge for me, but I hate it when he gives bad comments to me. I’m like, what?!”
Janette reassured her saying that everyone who takes part in the competition feels the same about Craig.
Ellie and Vito’s Movie Week dance revealed
This week, for Movie Week, Ellie and Vito revealed that they’re dancing a samba to Dance the Night Away by Dua Lipa from the Barbie movie.
Ellie is going to take on the role of Disco Barbie, while she’s said Vito can be Sparkle Ken for the routine!
