Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke admitted he doesn’t actually remember his performance, as he thinks he “blacked out”.
Last weekend, George danced a Paso Doble to Game Of Survival by Ruelle. The 25-year-old social media star has been a fan-favourite so far, with some even thinking he could win the whole show!
But while appearing on Strictly: It Takes Two, George admitted he didn’t get to enjoy the show until he was finished dancing. So much so, that he thinks he actually “blacked out”.

Joining Fleur East on the sofa this evening (October 8) George was asked how much he actually enjoyed his performance last weekend. And the young star admitted the enjoyment didn’t come until the show had ended.
George told Fleur: “I feel like the enjoyment came afterwards. I kind of blacked out during. We got to the end of the routine and I thought that was the best we have done it. ”
George’s dance partner, Alexis Warr backed his determination, admitting she almost forgot to start the dance because of his focus.
She explained: “I knew right away that he was locked in from the very beginning. I was like ‘Yes George!’ And I almost forgot to go because I noticed he was immediately locked into his character.
Later in the interview, George reinforced that he didn’t really remember what happened during the dance.
Straight after his performance, he was so focussed on saying something to be involved in Strictly’s TikTok’s.
He admitted: “I didn’t say anything in the first week so I realised I wasn’t going to be in the TikTok. And as I said, I blacked out. I got the end and my first thought was ‘Oh My God I’m not going to be in the TikTok again. So I had to say something.”
George responds to this weekend’s song choice
The social media star gained concerns from fans earlier this week when his song choice for next weekend was revealed.
For Movie Week, George and Alexis will be dancing to Soda Pop by K-Pop Demon Hunters. But when George heard the news, he seemed a bit confused.
Then, yesterday (October 7) it was revealed the dance would be his Couple’s Choice routine. And fans weren’t happy.
Responding to his song for the weekend, George admitted he has since “done a bit of research”.
He joked to Fleur: “I am a huge fan. I forgot I had a shrine of them in my room. But I have done brief research. I love everything about them.”
George went on to explain he will be bringing “hope and positivity” into his performance this weekend.
Fans took to X to share their support for the couple ahead of this weekend.
One wrote: “I am loving George and Alexis. Their vibe together is perfect.”
Another penned: “My prediction is that George and Alexis will get a 10 for their couple’s choice dance.”
