Made In Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump opened up about his end-stage liver disease diagnosis.
The 28-year-old reality star caught an infection due to a genetic liver disease. He was hospitalised last year over the festive season.
During an episode of MIC last night (October 27), Sam, who is expecting his first child with model fiancée Alice Yaxley, stated that without a transplant, his life expectancy might be only a few more years.

Made In Chelsea star Sam Vanderpump opens up about end-stage liver disease diagnosis
While speaking to cast member Ollie Locke on the show, Sam explained that he received a call from the doctors about the diagnosis.
“There is no hope of my liver getting better and he said I wouldn’t be having this call with you if I thought you could make it through the next four or five years,” he said before explaining that he is being sent for a “liver transplant assessment”.
Sam was asked by Ollie about how he is feeling, to which he shared: “The way I look at it is I’m healthy now, hopefully I will remain healthy all the way up until I’ll get a call and go in for surgery and then I wake up and I’ll be healthier.”
He then shared he is unsure about how long he will have to wait, announcing that people “will be higher up on the list who can’t survive the surgery”.
‘Saddened to see the news tonight’
Following the sad news, fans were emotional and immediately reacted online.
“Praying Sam Vanderpump gets a healthy transplant successfully and lives a full and healthy life for himself, Alice and his baby,” one user wrote on X.
“Damn. Vanders,” another shared, adding the crying face emoji.
“Sam Vanderpump’s news have us heartbroken. How brave is Alice?! Wishing the three of you strength,” a third remarked.
“Best wishes #SamVanderpump #MadeInChelsea. So young to be dealing with this illness,” a fourth said.
“#MadeInChelsea all my love to Vanders. We are all supporting you! Saddened to see the news tonight. You got this!” a fifth person shared.
“I’m so shocked about the Vanderz news, that’s so sad. I feel for him and his new family,” a sixth stated.
