Lady C may not be able to walk for six months
Now, Lady C has revealed she may not be able to walk for six months after the accident. The royal author is also looking at taking legal action following her injury.
Almost a month on, the star is still in hospital.
Explaining how the accident happened, she told The Sun: “I was invited to sit down, but there was a person between me and my seat, so to avoid stepping over them, I took a step around. I had acclimatised myself to the room — I am a cautious person — but the room is designed to look like it is all on the same level. Where I fell was a radically different level. It was like falling into an abyss. It wasn’t like tripping down a step, which is five to seven inches; it was more like a 12 to 18 inch drop. They (the hotel) have put style before safety.
“There was no lighting, no member of staff with a torch to indicate there was a plunge. I’m in bad shape now. The pain is excruciating,” she then continued.
Lady C also revealed that she is looking to take legal action.
“I hope it can be resolved nicely, but if not, it will be resolved either way. The paramedics almost fell down the drop when they came. This cannot happen again,” she said.
