James Burrows, who plays Coronation Street‘s Ali Neeson, has hinted that he is a new dad.
James and partner Sophie Coates confirmed they were expecting in October 2018, by sharing an ultrasound image to his Instagram account, adding that he was “over the moon”.

James wrote: “Me and my beautiful girlfriend @sophie_coates are over the moon to announce that we’re having a baby.”
The 27-year-old added: “We can not contain our excitement we are so so happy x.”
And now he’s posted a video to his Instagram stories of him on the Corrie set and he’s written on it: “Back on set and yes that’s the face of a tired new dad.”
Also in the video are his on-screen mum, Kym Marsh, aka Michelle Connor, and his sort-of on-screen brother, Ryan Connor, played by Ryan Prescott, so it would seem likely the caption is referring to James himself.
James’s other half has also posted to her Instagram stories about what seems to be a sleepless night.
Alongside an image of a baby whose face can’t be seen, she wrote: “Oh now she sleeps. Cheers for that. Sick all nighter.”
Sounds like a tired set of new parents – it gets better, guys!

James and Sophie revealed their new arrival was going to be a girl in an interview with OK! magazine.
James recalled he found out the happy news he was set to become a dad while he was at work.
Sophie told him they would become parents over the phone one morning at 7.30am as he filmed scenes in Weatherfield.
The 27-year-old also told how he decided to tell co-star Kym Marsh – who plays his on-screen mum Michelle Connor – about being a dad-to-be before anyone else.
He recalled: “She got really excited and gave me a massive hug and said I’d be a great dad.”
It was revealed that James intended to propose to Sophie during a winter trip Down Under – but their baby news interrupted his plans.
“I’d liked to have got engaged before now,” James added. “I was going to ask Sophie in Australia when we were visiting my family last November but then we found out we were expecting.”
Dr Ali star James, who became a Corrie regular last summer, and Sophie have been together for three years.
