Bethany Platt is back in Coronation Street
Bethany Platt rocks up back in Weatherfield on Friday evening (October 3), and it’s not a joyful occasion at first as she’s questioned at the police station.
As Kit interviews Bethany, she explains that she quit her job before she was pushed out.
She then took her boss’ car and drove it back to Manchester but now she’s being accused of car theft.
Later on, Bethany reunites with Sarah and fills her mum in on the situation. She then shocks her by announcing that’s she’s back in Weatherfield for good…
Coronation Street fan theory predicts psychotic episode for Bethany Platt
A Coronation Street fan theory has now predicted a big return storyline for Bethany Platt once she’s settled into life back on the cobbles.
Taking to Reddit, one fan wondered: “Does Bethany have a psychotic episode or something because it’s the only explanation.
“I know this show is a big fan of personality swaps especially when characters change actress/actor or when they’ve been away for a long time. But how does Bethany go from Daniel’s girlfriend and ex girlfriend/Daisy’s love rival to looking like one of the most psychotic people to ever live on Corrie? I know this show loves to be unrealistic, pretty sure it’s just for fun now but Bethany of all people.”
The theory suggests that Bethany’s mental state has declined since leaving Daniel Osbourne, leading to a psychotic episode for the character. But, is this what’s on the horizon?
Coronation Street usually airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
