Prince William and Kate Middleton’s ‘true feelings’ amid Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scrutiny

The scandal surrounding Andrew has been intensifying

| Updated:

Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales’ true feelings about the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor scandal have seemingly been revealed.

On Monday, the Prince and Princess of Wales broke their silence amid the ongoing Epstein scandal which Andrew has been linked to.

It comes after more than three million files were released by the US Department of Justice relating to late convicted sex offender Epstein and his crimes.

Within these files, images appeared to show Andrew kneeling on all fours over an unidentified female lying on the ground.

No context has been supplied for the images. It’s also unclear when and where they were taken.

Scandal surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor amid Epstein links

Andrew has faced scrutiny for years over his association to Epstein.

In his BBC Newsnight interview in 2019, Andrew claimed he cut contact with the disgraced financier in late 2010 following Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor.

However, emails that emerged last year appeared to show Andrew allegedly in contact with Epstein in early 2011.

From William and Kate’s point of view, they just want to carry on as normal.

Andrew has also faced allegations of sexual assault. Virginia Giuffre alleged she was made to sleep with Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 after being trafficked by Epstein.

Andrew has always vehemently denied the allegations against him.

Last October, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew would have his remaining royal titles and honours removed amid scrutiny against him.

Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein. Being named or pictured among the Epstein files is not an indication of wrongdoing.

Prince William and Princess Kate’s ‘priority’ amid Andrew scandal

Now, amid the scandal surrounding Andrew, a source has reportedly revealed the royal family’s main priority.

Speaking to the Mirror, the insider claimed: “The priority for all members of the royal family at this time is to stay absolutely distant from Andrew. We saw that with Prince Edward, who talked about the victims.

“From William and Kate’s point of view, they just want to carry on as normal, at all costs, not get dragged into commenting, or talking about Andrew whatsoever.”

Meanwhile, Kensington Palace released a statement on behalf of William and Catherine on Monday.

The statement said the royal couple have been “deeply concerned” about the “continuing revelations”.

Meanwhile, it added: “Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
