Prince Harry told Meghan she looked ‘amazing’ ahead of WellChild Awards

Doting husband Prince Harry told his wife Meghan Markle that she looked “amazing” ahead of their arrival at this week’s WellChild Awards.

As Ent Daily reported, the Duke of Sussex got emotional on stage when talking about his wife.

She was pregnant with their son Archie at last year’s ceremony.

Now one of the award winners that the couple met on the night has shared details of their behind-the-scenes conversation.

Emmie Narayan-Nicholas, 10, from Manchester met the royal couple with her mum Eve.

Emmie, who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2017, revealed that meeting Harry and Meghan was “cool”.

I said: ‘Oh you look amazing and you’ve just had a baby.’ He looked at her and went: ‘See I told you!’

Eve added: “They were very lovely.”

She revealed: “When she sat down, I said: ‘Oh you look amazing and you’ve just had a baby.’”

This evening, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual #WellChildAwards in London. WellChild aims to ensure every child and young person living with serious health needs has the best chance to thrive with the support and medical care needed in the comfort of their own home. The Duke of Sussex became Patron of WellChild in 2007, and last year both The Duke and Duchess attended the awards to honour the children and families that WellChild supports. The Duke, who first came to these awards over a decade ago, shared in his remarks tonight: “Last year when my wife and I attended we knew we were expecting our first child – no one else did at the time, but we did – and I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tightly during the awards, both of us thinking what it would be like to be parents one day, and more so, what it would be like to do everything we could to protect and help our child should they be born with immediate challenges or become unwell over time. Revealing that he had obviously reassured his wife before leaving home, Eve said Harry turned to Meghan and said: “See, I told you!”

Eve said: “He looked at her and went: ‘See I told you!’ in a way that we would. It did feel like they were very down to earth.”

Meghan had decided to recycle one of her pre-pregnancy dresses for the ceremony.

She re-wore the £462 green fitted P.A.R.O.S.H dress she first wore during their engagement interview.
