Follows health challenges with his kids

X Factor star Myles Stephenson has revealed he was recently rushed to hospital with a nasty injury.

Myles, 33, who won The X Factor in 2017 as part of Rak-Su, shared on social media how his foot and leg were damaged following a sporting accident.

He uploaded a snap showing his affected body parts all bandaged up, indicating he ruptured his Achilles while playing football.

X Factor star Myles Stephenson ‘ruptures Achilles’

Myles told Instagram fans: “Only gone and ruptured my Achilles haven’t I?”

The dad of two young children also admitted his frustration facing challenges with everyday task due to the injury.

“I’ve realised how stressful the next few months are going to be on crutches,” he added. “Work, family, simple things like tidying/washing. I am not looking forward to it.”

However, it isn’t the only hospital dash Myles has had to make in recent years.

Daughter hospitalised

Myles and his wife Keli Hall share two young children together – son Shiloh, three, and daughter Sahara, two.

Earlier this year Myles revealed that Sahara was hospitalised after suffering a Febrile seizure. He told followers on Insta how she “stopped breathing” and “turned blue”. He described the horrifying experience as the “scariest thing he’d ever seen”.

“This little princess had a seizure yesterday evening and stopped breathing and turned blue!” Myles explained.

However, Myles has also opened up about the challenges his son faces after enduring a stroke.

In 2023, it emerged little Shiloh’s right hand was constantly bunched in a fist, and it was later noticed he dragged his right foot while walking.

He was later diagnosed with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, having suffered a previously unnoticed stroke. The damage to his brain is believed to be irreversible.

Myles recalled at the time: “We was told Shiloh had a stroke sometime before, during or shortly after birth. Hearing the words hemiplegic cerebral palsy brought on a rush of anger, confusion and sadness.

“It wasn’t being told that your son won’t be the next Messi or Ronaldo that hurt. It was the thought that doing his laces, spinning spaghetti on a spoon or playing certain games with friends might be a challenge for him. The small things.”

What happened to Myles from X Factor?

Myles, along with his bandmates Ashley Fongho and Jamaal Shurland, is still thriving as a musical act eight years after Rak-Su won the 2017 X Factor. Mustafa Rahimtulla, however, left the group in November 2020.

Rak-Su were the first male group to win the ITV singing contest. They supported Little Mix on their Summer Hits Tour in  2018.

Additionally, Myles went on to appear on I’m a Celebrity in 2019, finishing in seventh place.

And in January 2024 he boxed rapper in January 2024, losing via corner retirement.
