As they belted out their tune The Land Of Make Believe on the ITV show, some viewers branded it cringeworthy. And others complained that they were out of tune.

“My ears are bleeding watching #TheFizz on #ThisMorning.

“It’s embarrassing,” blasted a viewer.

Another moaned: “God this is painful #ThisMorning #TheFizz.”

And others criticised their dance routine, with one unimpressed viewer tweeting: “Classic bit of Buck’s Fizz careering into each other in an ill advised microphone pre song dance routine #thismorning.”

Another said: “#thismorning I wish them well but Bucks Fizz are awful… Had to switch channels temporarily.”

Meanwhile, others expressed their anguish through memes.

Luckily, the group still had some diehard fans who enjoyed the nostalgia.

“Buck’s Fizz still got it xx #ThisMorning,” commented one, while a second tweeted: “I’m enjoying buck’s fizz doing the land of make believe on #ThisMorning far more than I should be.”

The group had to change their name to The Fizz when they reunited after a dispute about who owned the name Buck’s Fizz.

Buck’s Fizz rose to fame after winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest, where the male singers infamously whipped off the female vocalists’ long skirts during the performance of Making Your Mind Up.
