William, the Prince of Wales, asked filming crew to following one “strict rule” when he agreed to an interview with Eugene Levy, it has been reported.
Prince William starred as a guest on the latest season of the actor’s Apple TV+ show, The Reluctant Traveler, where he made several emotional confessions about his personal life.

Prince William’s ‘strict rule’ for Eugene Levy interview
The Prince of Wales has received a great deal of praise for his openness during his recent TV appearance.
He opened up candidly on several topics, such as his experience with grief, his parents’ divorce, as well as dealing with his wife and father’s cancer diagnoses in 2024.
He also gave the Schitt’s Creek star a behind-the-scenes tour of Windsor Castle, showing him the royal residence’s grandest rooms and sharing some family secrets.
However, he had apparently set one “strict rule” for the sake of his young children.

According to the Daily Mail, Prince William had requested that there be no filming at his family’s home of Adelaide Cottage, despite it only being a 10 minute walk from Windsor Castle.
Instead, the interview was kept to the castle itself and its expansive grounds. The Prince of Wales was apparently keen to respect his children’s privacy and show no intimate details of their family home.
The outlet said: “For the Prince and Princess of Wales, everything they do seems to send a message of calm, control and keeping things close to home. And we’re now seeing this evolve even further, especially after Kate’s recent health challenges.”
It’s clear they’re putting their children’s wellbeing first
She continued: “They chose to spend Easter quietly, away from public attention, and that’s in line with how they’ve always done things. It’s clear they’re putting their children’s wellbeing first, and trying to give them as normal an upbringing as possible, given the circumstances.”
Reps for Kensington Palace have been contacted for comment on this story.

Prince William mentioned brother Harry
Another topic Prince William appeared to stay tight-lipped about in the Reluctant Traveler interview was his younger brother, Prince Harry.
William only mentioned Harry briefly in reference to his upbringing.
However, Levy has since claimed that this was his own decision rather than the prince’s.
When quizzed about why he didn’t pose more questions about the Duke of Sussex, the actor said:
“I was not told I couldn’t ask anything, but it wasn’t really, you know, up to me, to get into that.”
He also added: “It was, you know, a very delicate issue and certainly not up to me to get into it.”
