Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hit the headlines on October 9 as they attended the Project Healthy Minds charity gala in New York to receive the Humanitarians of the Year Award in recognition of their global mental health advocacy.
Of course, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex drew a lot of attention to themselves, especially whilst walking down the red carpet sporting matching, chic, black suits.
‘Revealing’ clue that Meghan Markle may be ‘distancing herself’ from Prince Harry
Now, a body language expert has weighed in on the couple’s appearance.
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, body language expert Inbaal Honigman mused over the couple: “Making their way into the Gala, the royal couple walk almost as if they’re there independently from each other.”
Inbaal went on to point out a very revealing sign that Meghan may be pulling away from her husband in an effort to appear more independent in public.
Inbaal said: “They hold hands, but when they stop and pose, Meghan leans away from Harry, revealing that she doesn’t want to be seen as dependent on him.”
The expert went on to suggest how Meghan, 44, did seek “reassurance” from her other half, but unfortunately, Harry failed to offer support in that moment.

Inbaal claimed: “Twice, she gazes at his face, seeking reassurance, but he doesn’t glance back. This is a show of vulnerability from Meghan, and a possible snub from Harry.
“When they walk from posing spot to posing spot, their hand holding struggles, as they tug at each other, she tries to lead but then he does too.
“Their constant hand holding suggests that they’re still happily together.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did look radiant together. And Harry’s affectionate gestures implied that he made up for missing her cues.
The couple walked hand-in-hand dressed in matching black suits where they showed off a little bit of PDA.
In a video shared by a fan on X, the couple could be seen posing for photos with Phil Schermer, the founder and CEO of Project Healthy Minds.

At one moment though, an unfortunate angle captured Harry giving Meghan’s bottom a cheeky pat before he quickly moved his hand to her hip.
It prompted a smile from Meghan, at least. And unsurprisingly, it also made royal fans giggle.
“Harry, that hand….” said one fan.
“Hahaha this made me laugh, he can’t keep his hands off her,” quipped another..
Another person chimed in: “AS HE SHOULD!”
Meghan looked wonderful in her sleek outfit, a classic black suit paired with a statement gold necklace and dainty earrings.
She complimented the look with a clutch bag, heels and an updo.
