Actor Josh Brolin has married his assistant-turned-girlfriend Kathryn Boyd in North Carolina on Saturday.
The 48-year-old star wed in a private ceremony, his rep confirmed to People magazine.
There were reports that Josh’s Hollywood pals Bradley Cooper and Matt Damon were in attendance. But, according to an E! News source, it was a private ceremony attended by family and close friends.
Josh’s father actor James Brolin and stepmother, singing legend Barbra Streisand, were also said to be there.
Guests shared snaps of the festivities on Instagram using the hash tag #jbkstucktogether.
Although photos of the bride and groom had yet to surface on Sunday morning their family and friends seemed to have had a great time.
One Instagram user, Leighton Raine, who appears to have been a bridesmaid, posted a photo of herself with another friend with the comment: “Got our boos hitched in the world’s most beautiful ceremony!!! It’s party time.”
Another pal, Kerry Hays, wrote: “Love fest last night for the sweetest and most generous couple alive.
“Thank you for treating us to the most amazing night imaginable.”
In a 2015 interview with E! News Josh revealed that he was very involved in planning the wedding that his guests seem to have loved.
“I’m the guy who has to force himself to back off!” he said. “I’m such a control freak and I want to control everything.
“It’s not even that I want to control it – I just want to be in the middle of it.
“I want to be in the nucleus of it because that’s the fun part. That’s the nectar.”
More recently he said on the Today show that when it comes to wedding planning Kathryn “doesn’t have to draw me into this thing, I like it.”
This is the third marriage for Josh. He has two children with his first wife Alice Adair – Eden, 22, and Trevor, 28.
In 2013 he divorced actress Diane Lane after nine years of marriage. He was previously engaged to British actress Minnie Driver.
In May 2015 Us Weekly revealed Josh and his former assistant Kathryn were engaged.
