Taking to her Instagram this week, Loose Women star Frankie opened up about her battle with gastroenteritis…twice.

In the video, which also served as an advert for a supplement company, Frankie explained that she’s been ill quite a bit lately.

“Hi guys, it’s been a little while and I’ve said a couple of times that I’ve been ill a lot lately, so I thought I would give you an update,” she said.

“I’ve basically had gastroenteritis twice back to back. Which I very rarely get to be honest and it has completely wiped me out and been awful. I feel like my gut has massively suffered and it feels still really fragile,” she then continued.

Loose Women star Frankie Bridge talks gastroenteritis

According to the NHS, gastroenteritis is a very common condition that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. It’s usually caused by a bacterial or viral tummy bug.

It affects people of all ages, and usually clears up after a week or so.

“My immunity has been so bad and all while that has been going on I’ve been having tests done and I couldn’t take my daily Symprove,” she then went on to say.

“On top of all of this I’ve been on antibiotics because I’ve had a bad tooth and I feel like I’ve noticed a massive difference in my immunity,” she then added.

Frankie then went on to inform her followers that she’s been given the “all-clear” by doctors.

“I’m finally over it and I’m hoping it’s the last time because I’ve been given the all clear to get back into my daily routine. I’m happy to be back and it’s nice to be back in a routine,” she said.
