Shana Swash – sister of Joe Swash – has revealed the happy news that she’s given birth to her first child.
The 32-year-old delighted fans back in June when she announced she was expecting her first baby with Nick Jones. Like her brother, the actress has also appeared on EastEnders playing Demi Miller from 2004-2006.
Today (Friday December 29) Shana revealed the bundle of joy had arrived just before Christmas, and announced the news on her Instagram.
Shana Swash gives birth
Posting four snaps of her newborn, Shana revealed she has had a daughter. The caption alongside the pictures announced the little girl’s name.
“Kitty Frances Swash Jones,” followed by her date of birth: “18.12.2023.”
Fans were quick to offer their congratulations, with one telling her Kitty is “Simply divine”. Another added: “Absolutely beautiful.”

Shana Swash and Nick
Shana and carpenter Nick are said to have been in a relationship since 2016. In August 2011, the pair got engaged back in August 2021 – but are still yet to say their “I do’s.”
Shana and her beau Nick are owners of a coffee stall called Swash & Jones Coffee Co. in London’s Islington. The venture even got a public shout-out from Shana’s brother, Joe, who wrote on Instagram, “Super proud of my little sister and her partner” talking about their successful opening.
Shana talks baby plans
Shana’s exciting news comes not long after she spoke exclusively to ED! about her baby plans!
“No, we haven’t. I always said I’d like to have a baby before I have a wedding so we’re working on it. Watch this space,” she told us in an exclusive interview. ED! then joked that if she’s anything like Joe she’ll be “popping them out”. Shana then took the opportunity to poke fun at her brother and Stacey too.
“I know, they’re very fertile the pair of them,”
Shana quipped. “I’m not getting any younger. So we are trying. But I really thoroughly enjoy having my nieces and nephews. They just bring me so much joy. Also, I can hand them back at the end of the day, when they get on my nerves!” she said.
