Jessie J ‘frustrated and sad’ as she issues cancer update and is forced to axe plans

Speedy recovery, Jessie!

Price Tag hitmaker Jessie J has been forced to axe concert plans amid her cancer battle.

Back in June, the pop star shared that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer. Shortly after, she underwent surgery, which she later shared had been successful.

However, the singer has now revealed that she will have to have a second operation, which will unfortunately interfere with her upcoming tour.

Jessie J shares cancer update

Jessie was due to tour the UK and Europe in October, then take on the US in November.

However, the 37-year-old broke some sad news to her followers yesterday (August 28).

In a video posted to her Instagram, shared: “So, as some as you may now, I just had breast cancer surgery, eight weeks ago. So that’s one thing. The second thing is, unfortunately, I have to have a second surgery.”

“Nothing too serious,” she reassured fans, “but it has to be done before the end of the year. And unfortunately that falls right in the middle of a tour that I had booked.”

“So, I’m living in the moment, I’m embracing the moment and I’m flying with the vibes.” She went on, with her characteristic positivity, “So that is what it is.”

‘I need to be better’

“And I’m sorry, and I feel frustrated and sad,” she admitted, adding: “but also, it is what it is and I need to be better, I need to be healed and I know this is the right decision to make. So I’m postponing the tour ’til next year.”

“You guys know how much I want to do all of it but I have to be realistic.”

She went on to share that her Europe dates have been rescheduled for April 2026, while she was still working on finding a solution for the US leg.

She also teased fans with new music, which she said she “can’t wait” to release once she’s better.

While Jessie’s tour has been postponed, she will still hit the stage next week at Radio 2 In The Park festival in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on Saturday, September 7.

Other musicians on the line-up include Bryan Adams, Ronan Keating, Ella Henderson, and Stereophonics.
