Surprising reason Emily Atack might already be set to win I’m A Celeb

Could she be the fourth woman under thirty to win in four years?

Viewers were wowed when Emily Atack took on the first challenge in the Viper Pit, winning nine out of the ten stars – even after getting bitten by a snake!

And now a surprising statistic has shown why it may mean the actress is set to win this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!

During Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Extra Camp, presenter Joel Dommett revealed some shocking information about previous winners.

The 32-year-old told viewers: “Here’s a little interesting fact for you – the person who has been in for the first trial in the last two years, has won the whole show.”

His co-host, Scarlett Moffatt interjected happily: “That was me! Oh I was just counting the years there.”

For the past three years, women under thirty have taken home the crown; Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison, followed by Scarlett. Then, last year, Made In Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo won the show.

Guest Andi Peters praised the 28-year-old TV star, saying: “Based on that performance alone, she could get into the final. I mean, she was so brave and so courageous. And she went in with the mentality that she was going to do it… she’s amazing, I thought she was absolutely amazing.”

Emily, who is best known for her turn as Charlotte on The Inbetweeners, has quickly become a fan favourite thanks to her bravery and her friendship with The Chase star Anne Hergerty.

And when she killed it in the first challenge by facing a whopping 50 vipers – despite getting nipped by one – allowing her to join luxury camp, Croc Creek, viewers flocked to social media to praise her.

One wrote: “How @EmAtack got through that snake trial was unbelievable! I hated watching that! If that first snake had bit me I would have been out of there! 😂#imacelebrity2018.”

Another tweeted: “Honestly can’t fault Emily Atack on that trial. What a legend. I definitely couldn’t have been in a box with 40 snakes. You go girl. #imaceleb.”

A third wrote: “Now have massive respect for Emily. Gets bitten then asks if the snakes ok. Legend 🐍 ⭐️.”

Emily certainly seems to have what it takes to win the jungle crown. But nothing is set in stone just yet…
