Star of Dancing On Ice Brendyn Hatfield has revealed he is having surgery in hospital today following a secret health battle.
The 39-year-old skating pro, who is currently dating S Club singer Rachel Stevens, 47, announced the news via his Instagram Story yesterday (May 6).

While speaking to his followers in a video, Brendyn, who joined DOI in 2019, said: “Oh hi there, didn’t see ya!”
While talking outside in windy weather, he stated he thought he would “update everyone on life”, sharing: “It’s a big day tomorrow. Going in for a little bit of surgery”. He revealed that “everybody close to me knows what’s going on.”
“For the last year and a half, I’ve really had a hard time with asthmatic symptoms but I’ve never had it before in my life, like breathing,” Brendyn explained.
“Anyway, I’ve been in A&E a couple of times with massive asthma attacks, never dealt with it my whole life.”
‘I can’t live like this anymore’
Brendyn admitted he was annoyed after being discharged by mistake from the NHS in October. He was told he wouldn’t be seen until December this year.
As a result, he’s had to pay a huge bill to cover the surgery privately. He said that through tests, “they’ve found a bunch of things going on with my sinuses.”
He continued: “So it’s not a massive surgery but the bill sure is. Because the NHS could not fit me in for another year.”
Brendyn insisted he “can’t live like this anymore”. He assured fans he will keep them updated and let everyone know that I am ok”.
At the end of March, it was announced that Dancing On Ice had been axed.
