We’ve all had hairstyles in our past we’ve lived to regret and now Cheryl has admitted she’s no different!
The Fight For This Love singer said she once longed for lighter locks but soon realised the look didn’t suit her.
“There was a phase I went through when I wanted to experiment. I wanted blonde hair like Beyonce so I sat for 12 hours in a salon only for it to look hideous!” she said.
The mother of one-year-old Bear made the revelation in a video she shared on her Instagram account promoting L’Oreal hair products.
Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl said her hair has always been a big thing for her as “part of my job comes with a lot of scrutiny and people do look at my hair”.
But she admitted: “As I have grown over the years it has just become less relevant.”
She added that she does have to give her locks some TLC as it “takes a beating from all the styling” and while she may be less bothered about what other people think nowadays, she admitted: “If my hair feels good, I feel good.”
Cheryl has worked with the beauty brand since 2009 and she said she’s “excited to be back with it now” following time away from the spotlight while she was on maternity leave.

“It’s safe to say my hair’s still got its mojo!” she wrote alongside the video, which showed her long, brunette locks looking glossy and voluminous.
Cheryl is currently on holiday with boyfriend, Liam, and their son, after Liam’s had a busy period away from home promoting his solo work.
The former One Direction singer travelled to Japan just after Bear’s first birthday in March, and went from there to Dubai, where he performed to the largest crowd of his career.
Cheryl, 34, has rubbished claims it’s a “make or break” holiday after constantly having to dispel recent rumours that her relationship with Liam, 24, is in trouble.

She wrote on Twitter before they jetted off: “Now.. off on our holiday. And the only thing we’re making are memories. And breaking is our healthy eating, toodles.”
It’s not known where the family have gone but it’s certainly somewhere hot and sunny, as Liam shared an image of himself relaxing in a pool with his Instagram followers and a flame emoji with the word “LIT”.
