Charlotte’s ‘Christmas miracle’
Sharing a picture of herself next to her Christmas tree, Charlotte said: “Happy New Year to you! And raising a glass to toast Christmas miracles this year, it’s been quite the few days for us.”
Charlotte, who has been married to husband Mark since 2008, continued: “My father-in-law had to be rushed to hospital from ours on Christmas Eve, but amazingly was back around the table less than 24 hours later after having a pacemaker fitted.
“From the brilliant paramedics in the ambulance, to the incredible NHS team who were there in the hospital over Christmas and got him back to us in time to raise a glass on Christmas Day. Such a HUGE thank you.”
Support pours in
Members of the ITV family – including Ben Shephard, Ranvir Singh and Susanna Reid – rushed to show Charlotte their support.
“Sending you all some peace and healing,” one follower said. “Wow – so glad to hear he’s doing okay now Charlotte. Sending you all lots of love and a happy new year,” said another.
“Wow! My goodness, what a worry….Happy New Year Charlotte and wishing you all the happiness and good health for a super 2026,” another added.
Charlotte’s dad’s death
Charlotte’s own father, Frank, sadly died in in 2015 following a three-year battle with motor neurone disease.
Charlotte was heavily pregnant with daughter Ella, now 10, at the time. However, she has shared how she is “thankful” that her beloved dad knew that she was going to become a mum before he died.
