The Great British Benefits Handout is back on our screens and the Channel 5 show already has viewers talking.

Mum-of-four Sophie was offered £26,000 cash to start her own dress-making business – but some people watching weren’t happy with how she began spending the money.

Sophie admitted to splashing over £700 on Primark clothes for her family as well as £2000 on new fabrics for her business.

The show saw Sophie signing off the dole for the first time in her life as she made big plans to start her dreams become a reality.

Despite spending a large sum of the money on ensuring her business will be a success, Sophie was also keen to treat her family with the money she was given.

After she spent £147 on stocking up the fridge with sweet treats and food, Sophie’s children revealed: “I’ve never seen the freezer so full, ever.”

She said: “I would have never been able to do that before.

“The cupboards have never been this full; it’s a really wonderful feeling.”

Despite having big dreams for her business ventures Sophie revealed she was worried about people not buying her designs.

The determined mum said: “I think the clothes will sell, but it’s still a scary thought, ‘What if they don’t’, then I’ve just wasted money.

“I’m going to cry, it makes me feel really good.
