The Celebrity Traitors has already got the nation gripped – but viewers are worrying about when the series ends as a result.
Instead of members of the public, the spin-off series has seen 19 famous faces take over Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
The celebrities have already dug their own graves, some have laid in coffins and one has even committed ‘murder’. But when does The Celebrity Traitors end? And will there be series 2? Here’s what we know.
The Celebrity Traitors: Series 2
The BBC is yet to officially confirm a second series of The Celebrity Traitors. But current Traitor, Jonathan Ross, has already let slip that planning for Celebrity Traitors season 2 is already underway.
Jonathan let the cat out of the bag during an appearance on his and daughter Honey’s podcast Reel Talk. He said to Honey: “I know they’re already planning a second celebrity version. I know because I’ve had two celebrity friends of mine call me and say, ‘I’ve been approached – is it good to do, is it bad to do?'”
Unfortunately Jonathan then ended up in a bit of a pickle with his next comment. He said: “I’m giving them the benefit of my experience, which was I didn’t enjoy it.”
Jonathan went on to say how he found constantly lying “wearing”. He added: “I’m a Traitor, that’s why. I found the lying really wearing, it left me feeling increasingly uncomfortable.”
Hours later, Jonathan ended up backtracking and insisted he was NOT “discouraging” his showbiz friends from taking part.
Who has already left The Celebrity Traitors?
So far, The Celebrity Traitors has only had one departure – but a second…and third are imminent. Singer Paloma Faith was the first star to be ‘murdered’ in the show. She was bumped off by her good friend Alan Carr.
The comedian, who is a Traitor with Jonathan and singer Cat Burns, was told he had to kill in plain sight. He saw Paloma off by rubbing his hands on the petals of a ‘poisonous lily’ before touching her face.
Unfortunately, Paloma has not taken it well. In spin-off BBC2 show, Uncloaked, she blasted Alan for “betraying” her. Oh dear!
The second episode ended on a big cliffhanger, with the celebrities sitting at the Round Table. They were midway through giving their votes on who they think are the Traitors when the show ended.
Episode 3 will see the celebrity accused most of being a Traitor banished from the show – and things aren’t looking good for Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway. The Traitors will also be expected to kill off at least one more celebrity Faithful this week.
When does The Celebrity Traitors end?
The BBC has confirmed that The Celebrity Traitors ends on Thursday November 6.
In a statement, it shared: “The series is set to conclude on Thursday 6th November at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer, where fans will be treated to a 70 minute episode. The celebrities have been playing for the chance to win up to £100,000 for their chosen charities, but will the Faithful banish all of the Traitors to secure victory, or will the Traitors manage to deceive until the bitter end?
“Following the finale there will be an extra special extended episode of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC Two and Sounds, where Ed Gamble will be joined by the all-star cast, the finalists and Claudia Winkleman, as they react to the final episode and reveal everything about their time at the castle.”
