Well that’s the million dollar question. The news came as a complete bolt from the blue. Neither have really said why they’re leaving – other than a generic “now feels like the right time”.
Which begs the question, what’s coming next?
Who will take over from Tess and Claudia?
It’s the hottest topic on social media, with fans wanting to know who will steer the Strictly ship next year. Rylan Clark’s name has been bandied about, as has Celebrity Traitors star Alan Carr. Bookies have also been speculating over who could take over.

Or even Anton Du Beke? He has expressed a desire to follow in Sir Bruce Forsyth’s footsteps, so could he make the move from the judging panel to the presenting slot?
Another obvious choice would be to move Fleur East and Janette Manrara from It Takes Two to the main show. Janette currently presents the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, so she has previous and is very much loved by viewers…
