Peter Andre finally responds to Becky Vardy’s “chipolata” comment

It was the hot topic on today's Loose Women

Peter Andre has FINALLY responded to Becky Vardy’s less than flattering comments about his manhood.

Well, responded in a very brief way via his rep, that is.

Today’s Loose Women brought up the old interview I’m A Celebrity star Becky did with the now-defunct News of the World, where she compared Peter’s penis to a, er, chipolata and branded him the “worst lover” she’d ever had.

OUCH.

Becky had said at the time: “Peter was tiny. The smallest trouser equipment I’ve ever seen. When he pulled down his pants I couldn’t believe it. It was like a miniature chipolata.”

Her comments have resurfaced given her current place in the I’m A Celeb jungle.

The Loose Women debate was about whether it’s ever right to discuss such things outside the bedroom.

But first, Coleen Nolan revealed she’d got a statement from Peter’s rep.

It read: “Peter has not been affected by this.”

She added: “And nor should he be!”

Janet Street Porter slyly chipped in: “It hasn’t shrunk his reputation…” Oh, Janet.

Short and to the point Pete’s statement may be, but it still served to slam all those rumours over the last week that he was feeling “mortified” and “humiliated” about the old quotes.

Becky and Peter spent a night together way back in 2003, before he’d even met first wife Katie Price.

She later did tell-all with the News of the World describing what happened and pretty much rubbishing Pete’s skills in the bedroom.

Peter responded himself a year later, telling the Evening Standard: “She said I had no hair on my body and that my, well, you know what, is the size of a chipolata!

“I’m a good person. I care about people. I have to shrug this off but it can be upsetting.”

Meanwhile, back on Loose Women, the group debated the rights and wrongs of discussing such things in public.

Stacey Solomon said: “Not in public like that, I think that’s a bit cruel to be in the press and media, but I have to say, when you discuss the topic with friends, I would much rather have an honest opinion.

“I feel that what she said about him was cruel and shouldn’t have been said, but on the other hand, women do talk about their partner’s sexual performance, track record and I think size does play quite a big part in that.”

One of Becky’s pals said this week the WAG will be upset to learn the old comments have re-surfaced.

Since that night in 2003, Becky has gone on to wed England and Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy and is a mother of four, while Peter has two kids with ex-wife Katie and two children with second wife, Emily.

Friend Sarah told New magazine that Becky only gave the interview in the first place because her partner at the time coerced her into doing it.

“[Becky] wouldn’t want it brought up again – she’s not that person. It’s a really sad thing. We know the situation behind it,” said Sarah.

“She’ll feel bad about how Pete and his wife Emily feel – they don’t deserve that. If she could go back and not sell that story, she would.

“She’ll feel guilty.”

Becky herself told The Sun before heading into the jungle she “felt awful” after selling the story on Peter, blaming her former partner for forcing her into it.

“I’d had a night with Peter Andre at the end of my first marriage and stupidly told him,” she said.

“He wanted the money so made me go public with my story.

“I felt awful.”
