Stephen Mulhern was branded the “perfect choice” to replace Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice, a recent report claimed.
Phil quit This Morning and ITV in May. At the time, he admitted to having an “unwise” but “not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague on the daytime show.
This means he won’t be joining Holly when Dancing On Ice returns early next year. But, according to reports, one ITV star is in the pipeline to replace Phil.

According to the Mirror, Catchprase star Stephen could bag the job. A source claimed: “Stephen is the perfect choice. Not only does he get on brilliantly with Holly, he is relaxed and fun which sits well with a show like Dancing on Ice.”
Meanwhile, an ITV spokesperson told the publication: “We will be confirming details about Dancing on Ice 2024 in due course.”

Stephen previously stood in for Phil on the show last year as the presenter dealt with illness. It left some fans demanding that he become Holly’s full-time co-host.
Stephen is a perfect fit and gets on brilliantly with Holly.
Later, Stephen said he was stunned by the reaction. Speaking to The Sun last year, Stephen said: “I was astounded by the reaction from social media because it was overwhelming to be honest.
“We just had a great time and it was just nice to step in. Phil wasn’t feeling too well. It was lovely doing live TV as well, it was just exciting. So yes, would I go back, the answer is yes.”
