Coronation Street’s Ryan Prescott might have only been filming at the soap for a short time, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t found the time to make some good friends.
In fact, it seems he thinks of some of the cast as family after revealing to RadioTimes.com that he calls on-screen mum Kym Marsh ‘Mumma’!

The actor, who has recently joined the show as the new face of Michelle’s ‘son’ Ryan Connor, the man she unwittingly raised thinking he was her own son, told the website that Kym is a mother figure in the greenroom at work.

“Kym is maternal – I call her ‘mumma’.
“It’s very easy to develop a rapport with her. But she’s not just like that with her on-screen sons – she does that with all of the cast.”
Ryan went on to reveal Kym, who plays Michelle Connor on the soap, is already one of his favourite people he has worked with…
“Kym is one of those people who looks after everyone. She was the one of the first people I worked with and she opened her arms and let me in.
“She’s been so cool throughout this whole experience and made everything feel really easy.”
And it is just as well the pair get on, because it seems they could be spending a lot more time together on the Corrie set.
Tonight’s visit to Weatherfield sees Ryan explain that his job in Ibiza has fallen through, meaning he is sticking around on the cobbles for longer than he thought.
Michelle is obviously thrilled at the prospect of having both her boys nearby for the foreseeable future, but the same can’t quite be said for Ali Neeson, Michelle’s biological son.

He’s not thrilled about his ‘brother’ sticking around, especially because Robert has invited him to live at their flat, thinking Ryan is moving out.
Things are set to get cosy!
