Corrie Fans Tempted to Move for Rovers’ £3 Wine Deals

HOW much for a glass of red?

Coronation Street fans have declared they are moving to Weatherfield, because of the low cost of alcohol in the Rovers Return.

Viewers couldn’t believe their ears when Toyah Battersby poured customer Mary Taylor a large glass of red (good choice) and then charged her… A measly three quid!

Wait, what?

Most pubs charge at least a fiver for a glass of vino, so it’s no wonder Corrie fans were in hysterics.

One viewer wrote: “I wish the Rovers was my local! £3 for a large glass of red wine, bargain!”

Another said: “3 quid for a large red wine!!!!!! GET ME ON THE COBBLES.”

“£3 for a glass of red in a pub? Right that’s it, i’m moving to Weatherfield! (Where is it?),” joked a third.

While thirsty fans started planning an immediate relocation to Coronation Street after Wednesday’s double bill (4 July), they might want to stick to the Rovers and steer clear of the Bistro.

Earlier this week, fans were outraged on Tracy Barlow’s behalf when Michelle Connor charged her £6.95 for a glass of Prosecco, as she toasted her engagement to Steve McDonald.

One viewer blasted: “£6.95 for a glass of prosecco at the Bistro!? You can get a bottle for that! Don’t think I’d be going in the bistro.”

Another said: “£6.95 for a glass of prosecco!! I know there’s a prosecco shortage but this is daylight robbery.”

A third joked: “£6.95 for a glass of Prosecco?! Tracy will go back to murdering at those prices!”

Who knew the price of alcohol would get soap fans so excited!
